Meet Audra
Founder & Owner of The Fire
My favorite part of The Fire is, well almost everything. Running my sweet little studio is my art. It’s challenging, always a work in progress, fulfilling, and has a way of taking on a life of its own. There have been times I’ve wanted to quit, I’m so glad I never did. I’ve felt: tired, ill-equipped, strong, a woman on a mission, determined, heartbroken, wondering if we will survive financially more times than I can count, beyond grateful that I can be home most evenings to raise my girls & kiss my husband. 20 years later, through it all, we're still here.

The Fire's Story,
Purpose, & Mission
Audra had a vision. She wanted to have a place where friends, families, even strangers could create art together. She wanted a space that removed the boundaries that those who are not trained artists find when trying to access creativity. She felt art could be spontaneous, even liberating for those who felt they didn’t have what it takes to make masterpieces. The belief that beauty was as much in the process as the final product has been the foundation of this sweet little studio. So many kind and gracious people have helped to make The Fire the special place it is today. The spirit that stokes The Fire has come a long way from Audra building mosaics out of the broken china she would find while bottle digging with her brother.
